Oh the Things that Excite Me

So, in the most exciting thing to happen to me in a while, I switched my nail polish from my usual Black Cherry Chutney to An Affair in Red Square!

I figured it was a little more festive for the wedding tomorrow.  My toes are still my favorite shade of purple though.  Speaking of the wedding tomorrow, I’m willing to bet the lovely bride to be is none to pleased that there will be a Phillies game on during her wedding reception.  Her fiance is the type to never miss a game, so the fact that it is a playoff game should make things interesting.

Also exciting?  This shirt, that was too small on me all last year, and last worn as shown here on Christmas Eve 2009, fits again!  So while my thighs and ass don’t appear to be losing any circumference at least my upper body is?  Also, wow we are pale.

So yeah, I’m heading home right after work today, and praying that traffic doesn’t make me cry.  I also need to stop drinking water around 2 pm so I don’t have to pee every five minutes.  Here’s to hoping I make it home in time to watch the majority of the Yankees game tonight.  Also, here’s to hoping they win and move on.

That’s really all I’ve got for ya today, perhaps I’ll check in on my Facebook page over the weekend with some updates on what I decide to do with my hair and wedding photos.  Cheers to the weekend!  Well for me, sorry if you have another day of work tomorrow.

Birthday’s and More Birthday’s

So I enjoyed my egg thingy more yesterday for breakfast than I did for dinner on Wednesday.  Then again, I enjoy most things more when the flavors have had a day or two to meld together.  Either way, next time I make an egg bake, I’ll probably use bacon, because what isn’t better with bacon?

Yesterday was crazy at work.  I have a huge project, that came to me a giant mess, due on Monday.  Throw in a goodbye lunch outing, and a baby shower, and I felt like I was at work for five minutes.  None the less, I still made it out the door on time because I had places to be.

Yesterday was three of my friends birthday’s, and a giant group of us was meeting at Spider Kelly’s in Clarendon to celebrate.  I came bearing a piece of baby shower cake to give to the birthday girl.  None other than my roommate Danielle!

Happy birthday pretty lady!  I hope you had a fabulous time, and continue to have fun this weekend despite my absence.).  I left at 8 after three beers, because I needed to go home and pack for my weekend of fun.

Tonight I’m having dinner with my mom and sister, and I *think* I finally get to meet a hilarious lady I’ve been talking to on Twitter for months now!  Just have to make it through a half day of work first.

What are you all up to this weekend?

Coooooooookies!

So Amy sent me cookies (these cookies, I think, but there was more than choc chips in there), that jerk, because cookies were definitely not part of my “debloat before wedding weekend” plan.  Just kidding Amy, you’re not a jerk.  However, they were amazing, and I tore into the box the second I saw it and stuffed a cookie in my face.  Actually, the eating of the cookie took about 5 minutes because they were the size of my head.  Dear Amy, you rock, thank you for the oreo center surprise.  I gave one to Adrienne also, and then we sat in a cookie coma while the sugar took its hold.  Let’s just call it packing fuel.

Speaking of packing, I am in complete shock that I managed to fit all of my stuff in a carry on bag, and it wasn’t even that difficult.  The hardest thing was trying to find small containers for lotion, shampoo, and conditioner.  Also, I can’t bring a razor on board can I?  I had Dar run out and buy me one last night, because I figured that was a no.  Here’s to hoping nothing gets confiscated.

Another fun fact, I am most definitely the worst girlfriend ever, because I got too distracted by Mad Men last night to shave my legs.  Soooo I plan on doing that after arriving in Wisconsin tonight, uuuh, oops?  Darren didn’t understand why it was so important to have razors on hand for Thursday night, but it’s because I’m lazy, and obsessed with a TV show.

Yesterdays workout was nothing special, 45 minutes on the elliptical while watching Sex and the City.  That’s just one of those shows that I will watch no matter how many times I’ve seen the episode.  I threw in some stretching after, because much to my physical therapists dismay I’ve been slacking on it, and called it a day.

My flight is at 6:01 tonight, and let’s hope that for once this year I’ll take off without an absurd delay, because it is yet to happen.  The weather looks good in both places, so hopefully there are no problems.  Hopefully I’ll check in over the weekend, but I make no guarantees.  See ya from the mid-west!
