Hooray for Friday, if you had asked me Monday if I would make it through the week I probably would have just glared at you, and then coughed on you. I did it though, I made it to Friday and I couldn’t be happier. Also, is anyone else amazed that tomorrow is the first day of May? Where did April go, because I feel like I missed it completely. I drove past my community pool yesterday, and the cover was off, woohoo! I can hear the lounge chairs calling me name already, only 29 more days until it actually opens.
Even though I wasn’t feeling it at all, it was too late to cancel my PT appointment for yesterday so I dragged myself there. Luckily my pt guy is awesome and said that since I was sick, any stress on my body would cause backwards progress in my recover so we just did the stretching and light lifting exercises.
My mom wanted to be mean last night, and made one of my favorite dinners for her and her boyfriend, chicken and broccoli casserole. I’ve talked about it here.
Last night they had Wild Rice instead of brown, but you get the idea. The worst thing about this strep throat thing, is I’m still hungry, I just can’t eat. Last night I decided it give it a shot though, and managed to eat some delicious chicken and broccoli. I had to take teeny tiny bites, and chew for an hour each time, but I managed, and it was so good. Then I indulged in my vampire addiction with the Vampire Diaries. I don’t know why, but I love that show, the bf says it’s because I am a teeny bopper, I just think the boys are hot.
I plan on laying out in the sun this weekend working on my tan, that has since faded since I got it started back in the beginning of April, or was that March? Meh, who knows. Maybe some Vitamin D will help with this getting better nonsense. And good luck to everyone running Broad Street this weekend, it’s gonna be hot and humid, yuck! Make sure to hydrate! I will be out there with you in spirit, and hopefully in person next year.
Happy Friday ya’ll!
