Make Fun of Me Friday

Yesterday I took a spin class that was so difficult I could barely walk out of the room at the end of it.  I was stumbling around like a drunk who had no control of their body.  Ridiculous.  Also, my instructor ran Boston on Monday and still managed to kill me.  She is awesome.

I really don’t have much to say today, so I thought I’d put up a fun little post that will allow you to mock me endlessly.  Since I’ve recently decided to start running more, I’ve had to revamp my iPod with some new jams to keep me motivated while I’m sucking wind.  So I present to you, songs I currently run to/rock out to in my car/dance around to in my room.

This one gets played no less than 3 times a run, and when I listen in my car it’s SO loud, and I rock out SO hard. It’s impossible to not dance in your seat. Listen to it and tell me you sat still the whole time.

Yup, I went there, but it’s catchy and reminds me of JT who has sadly not made music since I was in college.  Seriously though, when did Bieb’s go through puberty?

I blogged about this one last week, but it still gets played on the regular.

This was one of my favorite songs to hear in spin class, so go figure it also happens to be one of my favorites to run to.

Sorry to all you T. Swift haterz, but I love this song.

And you can pretty much add every song from Rihanna’s Talk That Talk album to this list.  Whatever, they’re catchy.  So go ahead, laugh at how horrible my taste in music is, I can take it.

8 hours and counting until a weekend with my boo begins!

Just Checking In

Not really much to say here today, but go check out my guest post over at What Kelly Said, for my thoughts on how blogging is like high school.

Yesterday was pretty lazy, although I did finally make those Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies that I’d been meaning to make all weekend.  They’re my favorite, and I may have a zip lock bag of them sitting next to me on my desk.  I do.  I mostly just watched a lot of football, and am keeping my fingers crossed that my fantasy team pulls off the win tonight.  Ya know, since the Eagles sucked ass yesterday.  I’m currently winning by four points, and we each have one player left to go tonight.  It’s going to be a close one!

After the football games we cared about ended yesterday, the roommates and I settled in to watch the latest arrival from Netflix, Never Say Never.  Yes, that’s the Justin Bieber movie, haha.  What a cute little kid, and so talented.  Anyway, it wasn’t horrible.  It showed how he got discovered by Usher and that kinda crap, and followed him around leading up to his MSG concert.  He’s a cutie, and the songs are catchy.  Whatevs.

So yeah, that’s really all I’ve got for you today.  I’m anxiously awaiting the first day of October on Saturday, and the 10 degree temperature drop that is supposedly coming with it.  I have new cool weather clothes I want to wear!  Alright, catch ya later.

Bieber Fever

For some reason I was in such a good mood yesterday when I left the office that I decided I had tons of energy to expel, and headed to the gym for some cross-training and lifting.  I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and 10 on the stair climber, followed by what was a pretty good session of lifting.  At least for me anyway.

  • bicep curls with a 20 lb bar (3 sets of 12)
  • scull crushers with 20 lb bar (3 sets of 12)
  • bicep curls (20 lb bar) lifting normally then lowering slowly to a 5 count (3 sets of 12)
  • tricep bench press 20 lb bar (3 sets of 12)
  • lat pull down machine (3 sets of 12)

Then my stomach started growling so I went home and ate more Buffalo Chicken dip.  It’s almost gone, thank god, because then I’ll have to stop eating it for every meal.  Modern Family last night was absolutely hysterical; the break did them good because they definitely came back with a bang.  The roommates and I were all cracking up.  Oh man, now I’m laughing again just thinking about it.

Now for my embarrassing confession of the day.  Last night as I was driving home from the gym, this song came on.

And I turned it up and rocked out really hard to it.  Sigh.  And yes, I do want to go see his movie, and no I am not 13 years-old.  Feel free to make fun of me, I’m well aware of how sad it is.  At least I know Dani will go with me because she loves him.

In other news, this time next month I’ll be heading to the mid-west for my weekend in Chicago!  I can’t wait!  I’m hoping to get a run in along Lake Shore Drive if it’s nice enough because I’ve heard it’s amazing.  Plus deep dish pizza, Amy, shopping, sightseeing, and it’s also Darren’s birthday that weekend.  So excited, I can’t wait!

Alright, well I’m off to try to get through my Thursday.  I have to work on my “goals” for this year for our Performance Management system and have absolutely no idea what I’m doing.  It would help if someone would explain it to me, but nope, I’m on my own.  Sigh.  See ya later!
