New Shirt Number 2

Yesterday I wore my second new shirt from the bf to the gym.  This one is a short sleeve Under Armour Heat Gear top, and I loved it.

The stripes are my favorite part.  Normally I’m not a fan of running in things with short sleeves because I feel like my arms are weighed down, but these didn’t bother me at all.  I also am not a fan of tight fitting shirts sometimes because they ride up, and cause some belly exposure, but this one stayed put.  The bf is two for two in workout tops so far.  Only one left to test.

I ran on the treadmill at the gym again, because even though the temperature was significantly cooler (like 79 degrees instead of 99) it was thunderstorming off and on all day and I didn’t want to risk it.

I walked for the first three minutes, so the pace was probably a little faster than that.  I know I ran mile 4 at about an 8:30 pace, all miles at a .5 incline.  Lately my Glee soundtracks were my running music of choice, but I’m getting somewhat tired of it (gasp the horror, I know!) so I rocked out to some Britney Spears during yesterdays run.  Her Circus album really is fantastic workout music, and my 4 miles were up in no time.  I’ll probably listen to that at the gym again today.

My sister was working last night and my mom took a late gym class, so I was on my own for dinner.  I took one boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut it in half, and covered it with mashed up Fiber One cereal and Cayenne Pepper.  Then I cooked it in my toaster oven, yup the oven is still broken, at 400 degrees for like 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.  I also made a Lean Cuisine Ravioli dinner to accompany my chicken.

I knew the ravioli alone wasn’t enough food, and the addition of the chicken helped to keep me full.  After dinner I fully indulged my inner teen, and caught up on some ABC Family shows.  Make it or Break it and Pretty Little Liars.  Does anyone else watch Make it or Break it?  After all the bad things Lauren has done to all of them, how can they possibly think she is sincere about anything?  It blows my mind, really.  Pretty Little Liars I just watch and wonder how they do their hair most of the time.  I want to learn.

Anyway, TGIT people.  I’m off to Bethany Beach, DE tomorrow after work to celebrate my birthday.  One of my BFF’s has a house there, and then on Saturday we are spending the whole day at Seacrets.  If you’ve never been or heard of it, it’s pretty much the island of Jamaica set up in the Bay in Ocean City, MD.  It’s fantastic and I cannot wait.

A Few Changes

Ugh, Tuesdays.  They are by far my least favorite day of the week.  Really, what is good about Tuesday?  Someone give me something.  Anyway, if you are viewing my actual site, and not just reading in Google Reader, you’ll notice a few changes.  Last night I switched up the format of the ol’ blog to make room for my new Foodbuzz widgets!  Yes, that’s right I’m officially a Foodbuzz Featured Publisher.  They had emailed me last week inviting me to join, and I finally set it all up last night.  I’m looking forward to working with them.

Due to the continuing heat wave over here, I was again forced inside the gym and onto a treadmill.  Thankfully my sister was waiting for me to get home to go to the gym, so we went together.  Oh and I told myself I could wear my new favorite shorts.  That was really my main motivation.  I pounded out 4 miles in about 38 minutes, and felt pretty good.  Although my right ear bud kept falling out, but that usually happens when I’m a sweaty mess.  I really miss all the stats my Garmin typically gives me, I don’t trust the treadmills calorie calculations at all.  I need to get back outside ASAP!

Also, there is this one girl at the gym, and I can’t help but stare at her the entire time she is working out.  The last few times she has been on the front row of treadmills and directly in my line of vision (this is why I only work out on the back row).  I’m not really sure what it is about her, but something just amuses me.  It could be the way she walks, sticking her butt out and kicking her legs forward, or how she flails on the t-mill while running (picture Phoebe from that Friends episode) or just her general attitude (she definitely thinks she’s hot shit), but the girl makes me giggle the whole time.  Oh and she is always wearing the tightest clothes imaginable, with high beams blazing.  Oh how I love the gym.  Between that and doing abs in front of my ex, it’s probably the most fun ever!

Anyway.  Dinner was going to just be a ham sandwich, but then my mom came home and decided she knew how to use the oven.  Yes, the off button is still broken.  In went a CPK Margarita Pizza, and my ham sandwich got wrapped up for lunch today.

You wanna know how she turned the oven off?  By going into the garage and killing all power at the fuse box.  Probably not the best way to do things, but hey at least we got some great pizza.  As I have previously mentioned, these pizzas are best for two people, three is really pushing it.  I was still hungry after dinner, so I ate four cookies.  Two Raspberry Milanos and two Strawberry ones.  So freakin good.

You know by now what Monday night means, Bachelorette drama!  Last night did not disappoint.  Justin aka Rated R, got himself called out big time by my girl Ali for having a girlfriend!  Dude didn’t even try to explain himself, just got up and peaced out.  The best part of the episode was when they were playing all the v-mails he had left for his gf, Jessica, while on the show.  Nice job guy, how’d that plan to get famous workout for you?  Douche.  The rest of the season looks just as drama filled, I can’t wait!

Hello!

Hi! I’m here!  Did ya’ll miss me this morning?  I definitely felt out of sorts not getting my morning blog reading in.  So sad.  I had to drive about an hour and a half north this morning for an appointment, which I swear I’ll give more details on later when everything is settled, but because of this I got the day off of work. Woohoo!

I just so happened to pass the new Trader Joe’s in Princeton on my way home, so you know I stopped.  I stocked up on a few things I bought before, flat bread, mac and cheese, peanut butter pretzels, and also picked up some refrigeratable stuff that I couldn’t bring home from NY.  A package of Lobster Ravioli and one of Spinach Ravioli, some Chicken Sausage, and just regular chicken.  A succesful and lovely trip indeed.

Last night I begrudgingly drug myself to the gym and did 35 minutes on the elliptical.  As you all know I’ve been looking for some new ab exercises to do, and the other day Bobbi over at N Her Shoes had a guest post up with some plank ab exercises.  I decided to give them a shot.  Definitely different that what I normally do, but I always feel like plank is working my arms more than my abs, I’m not giving up yet though, so we shall see.

I had my leftover chicken asparagus deliciousness for dinner last night, and in case anyone was curious Trader Joe’s Sweet Poppyseed Dressing made an excellent sauce.  Yum, now I’m hungry again.

LOST last night was perhaps my favorite episode of all the seasons combined.  Richard has always been one of my favorite characters and it was awesome to finally learn about him.  This season is really living up to viewers expectations I think in terms of answering questions instead of just leaving us with more.  Hopefully they keep up this trend of awesome episodes and don’t leave us with a filler episode next week.

Ok, well just wanted to pop in, I’m off to the gym to take advantage of having the afternoon off.  Hopefully it won’t be crowded at all :).  Hope everyone is having a fabulous Wednesday!
