Phew, talk about a whirlwind of a weekend! It was exhausting, but well worth it to be able to celebrate at Meghan’s bridal shower with her! Our journey? Looked like this:
That’s a lot of driving, and a lot of hours spent in my car. Thank god there was hardly any traffic, or I may have driven us off one of the 4 bridges we crossed each way. The roommates and I finally made it out of Arlington around 8 pm on Friday and rolled into Long Beach around 1, where we were greeted by an excited friend with bottles of wine. Thank god for wine and friends.
Unfortunately we were up bright and early the next morning so that all four of us could have enough time to beautify ourselves for the afternoons bridal shower. Thanks to the two local members of the bridal party, the shower went off without a hitch. Well, unless you take into consideration the spilled glass of wine and centerpiece that tipped over about 5 minutes in. After that everything went off without a hitch.

Sadly for me, my night pretty much ended as soon as we undecorated for the shower. The second we got back to our friend Megan’s house I got so sick and threw up everywhere and passed out until the next morning. I’m blaming it on something I ate at the shower, or just adding nausea to my already long list of ailments. Which, if you’re keeping track probably also now include a sinus infection. I am falling apart over here. Sigh.
We made it home by 4:30 yesterday at which point I plopped myself on the couch until bedtime. I’m so exhausted today, my face feels like it’s going to explode, and I want to sleep for the next four days. Sadly, real life must go on, and I need to be a responsible adult. I *think* Dar and I are putting an offer on another house today, so hopefully this one works out for us! Happy Monday fools.
