So, my 27th birthday is in less than two weeks, and yesterday I received my first gift! My darling bf was asking me what I wanted, and between buying a house (and all the things that go with that) and trying to save for another significant purchase; I didn’t want him to waste money on something I didn’t really need or even know I wanted.
Then my sister called me and asked me the same question. Those two really need to hide their conspiring better, they’re not very smooth. Anyway, I ultimately said I just wanted something for the house, or money to buy things for the house. Then Dar called me again, and said “I have an idea of what I could get you.” To which I replied, “An oven?” He goes, “You read my mind!” So, I present to you my 27th birthday present from my love, the Frigidaire Professional Series Gas Range.
Unconventional and unromantic? Sure, but we needed this more than I need another piece of jewelry or something and it certainly is pretty and shiny. We found it on sale, and since I wasn’t with Darren I was able to quickly Google it and found an even lower sale price that the store matched. Win, win. It gets delivered on Tuesday, and he said he’d put a bow on it and take a picture for me.
As for the 4th of July yesterday, I did nothing. Not even kidding, never even left my house. I took full advantage of the mid-week day off and rested. I watched a movie, lots of House Hunters, and read some of a book. I’m working from home today, so technically I got two days out of the office. Having to go back tomorrow for just one day doesn’t seem so terrible. However, I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July, whether you did anything or not.

I’ve always wanted a gas stove. Pretty kickass gift.
I think that’s a pretty amazing gift. I HATE my stove, so I’m kind of jealous. 🙂
I wish someone would buy me an oven! Seriously! Is this a sign that we are finally growing up?
