Heeey, happy Friday everyone, we made it. I had a meeting at work yesterday afternoon that went until after 5 pm, so traffic was a monster by the time I finally hit the road to drive home. It was going on 7 pm by the time I finally got home, so I opted to do my workout there instead of at the gym.
As I mentioned yesterday the Daily Burn ap provides workouts for you to do three days a week, and yesterdays was a core workout. I did a 10 minute warm-up in my living room that consisted of jumping rope, mountain climbers, jabs, and hopping back and forth over my yoga mat. I remembered the cardio warm-up moves from back when I used to do the Brooklyn Decker workouts on exercise TV. Whatever, they worked. Then I did the core moves.
Not particularly difficult by any means, but I’m hoping it was affective. I actually enjoyed the Superman’s the most because I tend to forget to work those muscles. After that workout I decided to walk to 7-11 to pick up a frozen pizza and sprite zero to enjoy with my vodka for dinner. From my house and back it’s about 1.6 miles, I know you were curious.
This weekend is looking pretty typical so far, no plans for tonight as of yet, and then kickball shenanigans tomorrow. I’m not making the trek home for Mother’s Day because I have to go home for my sisters college graduation next weekend, and I refuse to do that drive two weeks in a row. No thank you. Who’s got fun plans for the weekend? Mother’s Day related or not.

Maybe I should try something like that app. How long did it take you to do the whole set? I am so bad about core work!
My weekend = running a 10K tomorrow morning and working all weekend. Wah!
Not long 20-25 minutes maybe? I would go through one set of all the exercises before resting.
My core hates me.
I’m actually surprisingly sore today.
I’m a little pissed that Mothers day is so soon. Doesn’t the world know how broke I am?
Maybe I’ll make my mom cookies. With her groceries.
Haha I sent flowers
I’m not making it back for Mother’s Day either… I went twice last month. Reached my driving quota…
And I hate supermans. But yes- I think they work. So I shall continue to do them when Jillian Michaels tells me to.
Have a good weekend lady!
Yeah I don’t even want to do it next weekend. Sigh. Yeah my back is super sore today.
I almost bought that app after you mentioned it yesterday, but I’m a cheap ass and didn’t commit. I’m still thinking about it though.
My fun plans include packing and couch shopping. I’m so awesome.
Mine was free. Some of the upgrades you need to pay for, but for free you get a lot of stuff.
Enjoy your kickball match tomorrow!
I’m such a hipster, with my kickball, and my iPhone, haha.
I’m running a 5K at my alma mater (Drexel) tomorrow then hopefully having lunch/drinks at either New Deck or Mad Mex. 🙂 Sunday is going to be a relaxing day.
Your core work and walk were better than nothing! 🙂
FC Dallas is playing your DC United this weekend (playing there), so I’ll be watching from home. Hope we kick y’alls butt! 🙂
I really want to check out the workout apps.. do you like this one??
Like I tweeted to you…we would have made such good roommates! 🙂
I always forget to work my back too and when I do it I literally want to die. Apparently it’s good for the abductors or something to that effect, I don’t know for sure though, I just work here…or read here…you know what I’m sayin.
